What to expect
Community health centers care for everyone, including people with no insurance, people on Medicaid or Medicare, and people who are uninsured or underinsured. You do not need to be a US citizen. To set your discount, bring a photo ID, proof of income (a recent pay stub, tax return, or a letter if you have no income), and proof of household size if you have it. If you can't bring these, go anyway — staff can help you apply.
How much will it cost?
You'll be charged on a sliding-fee scale tied to the federal poverty level. At or below the poverty line, you pay only a small nominal fee. Above it, the discount steps down as income rises. No one is turned away for being unable to pay. See how the sliding-fee scale works →
